Cooler height trades against GPU thickness
This chassis has an adjustable spine, and you cannot have the tallest cooler AND the thickest card. These are the pairs the manufacturer publishes — each row is one simultaneously achievable combination, and nothing between rows is a guess.
| Max cooler height | Max GPU thickness |
|---|---|
| 77mm | 43mm |
| 72mm | 48mm |
| 67mm | 53mm |
| 62mm | 58mm |
| 57mm | 63mm |
| 53mm | 67mm |
| 48mm | 72mm |
What a buyer needs to know
$199.99. THE TIER-2 PICK: 322mm GPU, a PCIe 4.0 riser IN THE BOX, a standard SFX PSU, and — uniquely — Fractal publishes a full clearance matrix, so our engine can be exactly right about this case instead of approximately right. THE TRADE-OFF IS REAL, PUBLISHED, AND WILL BITE YOU: the spine has 7 positions, and cooler height trades against GPU thickness at every one. Every position sums to 120mm — 77mm of cooler leaves 43mm of card; 48mm of cooler leaves 72mm. You CANNOT have a 77mm cooler and a 72mm card, even though the spec sheet honestly says 'up to' both. That is why the two headline scalars stored here are NOT what we check — clearanceProfiles is. RESIDUAL GAP WE HAVE NOT CLOSED: Fractal's figures (and the matrix below) are for cards up to 131mm WIDE. Cards up to 145mm wide get 10mm LESS at every position, and we do not model card width yet — so a tall card is checked against a limit 10mm too generous.
