Will my graphics card fit?

A graphics card can be short enough for a case and still be too thick to install. Check the exact card, the case layout and the CPU cooler together before you buy.

Start with Check what fits. Pick your case first. You can leave the graphics card blank to see the catalog's fit results, or choose a specific card and cooler to check that combination.

Match the exact model

A GPU chip name is not a card size. Two cards sold with the same chip can have different coolers, power connections and dimensions. Use the manufacturer's full model name when comparing a retailer listing with the parts catalog.

Write down the card's length, thickness and height, including how the manufacturer defines those measurements. Then read the case manual for the configuration you intend to use. A maximum listed on a product page may depend on moving a bracket, removing a fan or using a particular power supply.

Check the shared space

The Fractal Terra is a useful example. Its manufacturer lists a 10.4-litre enclosure, support for cards up to 322 mm long, and an adjustable central wall. Moving that wall changes how the space is divided between the graphics card and the CPU side. Those headline dimensions are not a promise that every maximum-size component works together. Also account for the power connector and cable route. A card that occupies all the available space may leave too little room to close a panel with the cable installed. Follow the card and power-supply manufacturers' connection instructions; the fit checker does not model every cable bend or obstruction.

Read the result honestly

• Fits means the selected parts pass the dimensional checks covered by the tool.
• Can't confirm means the available specifications do not settle the question. Find the missing measurement before purchasing.
• Won't fit names the dimension or shared-space constraint that fails. Try a smaller card, a shorter cooler or another case.

A fit result does not establish cooling performance, noise or operating-system support. Keep those as separate decisions. If a result conflicts with the current manufacturer manual, use the correction link on the part page so we can investigate it.

Before you order

Confirm the exact model in the retailer listing, review the selected case layout, and check the power connections.
