CouchDex (beta)

CouchDex is our opinion of how good a machine is for playing from the couch — not a raw-speed number (that’s perfIndex and rigbench’s measured RigIndex). It is couchdex@v0, a transparent weighted score over numbers we measured ourselves. Every value on the site links the exact bundles it was built from.

The formula (v0)

• Performance (55%) — median measured fps across a couch-game basket; full marks at 72 fps at couch resolution.
• Smoothness (25%) — 1% low ÷ average; stutter is couch-death on a big screen.
• Living-room fit (20%) — reserved for thermal + efficiency (quiet, cool, low-power under a TV cabinet); in this beta it isn’t wired to per-device measurements yet, so it currently contributes a neutral baseline while that lands.
